Robert Anton Wilson needs help

Burroughs is gone.
Leary is gone.

Robert Anton Wilson, is not doing real well right now.

The co-author of the Illuminatus! trilogy and author of Prometheus Rising and the Cosmic Trigger series is in very poor health, and an exceedingly grim financial state just now.

Also known to some of us Pope Bob, Mordecai Malignatus, and a host of other pseudonyms, he is one of the greatest minds of the last 100 years, as a synthesist of science, philosophy and psychology.

Bob Wilson is a lifelong hero of mine. It is because of Bob, as much as any individual, that I am who I am, and do what I do. Through his books, Bob lent me the courage to be fearlessly pagan, to spend four years in an academic philosophy program pursuing my own projects, to the dismay of my professors, to remember that humor is a valid form of criticism and an effective mode of argumentation.

I owe him more than mere money could ever repay. But right now, Bob does not need thanks and adoration, Bob needs money. And money he shall have.

You can donate to him directly through paypal at address olgaceline@gmail.com

(Confirm this at: http://www.rawilson.com/, and http://www.subgenius.com and http://www.rushkoff.com/, as well as get some more info on Bob.)

If you don't trust these sources, I'll be taking up a collection over the next few days to help Bob over the hump, as well as making as large a donation as I can afford come Friday pay-day, and I'm going to mercilessly hustle all my friends and a large number of complete strangers on his behalf this weekend at CT Renaissance Faire this weekend, and at the Southern NH Pagan Pride Day redux on Oct 21st.

Think fondly of St. Mordecai.
