After a couple of days with leopard, I got sick of the new dock. I turned up a fix after poking around, and realizing that side-mounting the dock made it not suck as much, and dumped the 3D crap.
Anyone else who wants to dump the 3D look can try this:
% defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES
% killall Dock
Systematic operation to acquire a house is proceeding well to this point. There are a few final things to clear wioth et bank, etc, and then we are off and making hte mad-dash to the closing.
I've been using the [Boinc](http://boinc.berkeley.edu/) client to particpate in a number of grid computing projects for the last year. My involvemnt started off with the need to stress-test a system that was having hardware issues that we couldn't pin down accurately. I moved the client over to my workstation, and it's run there ever since, running in idle cycles mode, for the last 8 months or so.

So, Kess and I have been looking at buying a house. We've got a good idea of what we want, and what we want do do with a house, and even what we want that house to do for us and for our Family of Choice. We've even found a Place that we are considering to be a damn strong candidate...
It is my belief that CIS needs to review its policies about log maintenance, use tracking, and data retention in order to better protect our users and the integrity of our network from organizations that have hijacked the DMCA and the notion of copyright. Entities such as the RIAA and MPAA are transitioning from sales-based revenue streams to litigation-based models, and other property holders are following their lead. CIS, as a department, and U..., as an institution, need to recognize that we are victims of an abusive litigation-based blackmail scheme, in which we are being extorted for both labor-resources and information about users.
So, I've been performing the adoration of Liber Resh vel Helios for the last week. The object, at present is to learn the adorations by heart, and not have to use the Red Book, essentially a self-created handbook of ritual tasks geared for portability.
